There are so many great things that the NDIS offers for disabled people in Australia. The chance for independence, improved quality of life, professional opportunities and community engagement.
However, if you’ve been following the media reports around the recent Disability Royal Commission, you can see there has also been a darker side to the disability sector. From heartbreaking stories of neglect and abuse to oversights in coverage and reports of fraudulent operators.
It absolutely breaks our hearts to hear these stories. We were already aware of some of these issues leading up to the Commission, and that’s why we set out to make Beyond Potential Supports very different by design.
We’re a family business, that wants to have each of our participants feel like they are part of the family. We’re driven first by our shared passion to support the independence of people with disability.
We can genuinely say we put our participants at the heart of everything that we do. Our approach is to first listen and understand what each participant might want or need. Then we tailor a program for them that is specific to their needs. Some might want more independence, others might need a little more support along the way. Either way, we’ll be there to offer our support.
Each of our properties is homely and warm, and we do our best to make each room feel like home in a way that our participants can relate to. We’re also really committed to having our participants go outside and enjoy the great outdoors, and also spend time engaging with the local community in which they live.
To participants or their carers, we’d say this. Whether you’re staying with us onsite or need support within your own home in the community, you can always expect our team to listen, provide support and care and make you feel right at home.
That’s the Beyond Potential Supports difference.
