NDIS Accommodation

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

This option is for residents looking for long-term accommodation (more than 90 days) and flexible support options to improve their independence over time. Our registered nurse can provide clinical oversight for residents and support with planning care and understanding medical procedures. Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team can also play an active role in helping our residents manage their dental, medical and other health appointments, support with prescriptions and other medicines and represent.

Medium Term

This option is for residents looking for NDIS accommodation for more than 2 weeks and up to 90 days. Our medium-term accommodation is either a self-contained unit or a room within one of our Supported Independent Living houses. This type of accommodation is typically for residents with more mobility and who want to build their independence further.

Short Term & Respite

This option is for guests looking for short-term accommodation as well as respite care. Respite care for people with disability allows their carers to take a break or manage emergency situations, knowing that their clients will be well looked after by our professional team.

Community Access

Household & Meals

From help with cleaning and other household duties, to support with meal preparation or sourcing meals, our team customises their level of support to suit the agreed needs of our clients. These levels can change over time, to allow individuals to adapt, build more independence and take on more responsibilities without becoming overwhelmed. This service is available for clients in the surrounding community as well as Beyond Potential residents.

Skills & Socialisation

The benefit of being part of a vibrant community is all part of the fun of socialisation. At Beyond Potential Supports, we regularly help our community participants and residents to get outside, socialise and enjoy some fresh air and sunlight. We also provide a range of skill-building opportunities to further their development with social skills, employment skills, entertainment and hobbies.

Transport

We provide transport services either directly or by assisting to link with community transport providers. There are cars available for use as required to go shopping or get to medical appointments, family gatherings and other outings.

Our Location and Facilities

We operate several properties around Raymond Terrace and plan to add more as our business grows. We provide modern accommodation that looks and feels homely rather than clinical and is accessible and suits residents that want to build more independence in a supportive environment.

Our locations are in quiet suburban streets with convenient access to public transport, shopping centres and local businesses. A bus stop is less than 200m from each location and provides access to Raymond Terrace, Newcastle and Maitland. Daily buses typically run twice an hour and provide excellent access to a variety of local shopping precincts and shopping centres.

Each of our locations is close to bushland and provides opportunities for residents to relax or get some exercise in the great outdoors.

Here’s what our clients think about our accommodation and services:

Yes, I would like to say Beyond Potential Supports is an amazing company and opportunity for future participants, and staff members. It provides the best support that will benefit you and your future purposes. Would highly recommend it to anyone if I got asked. The staff members that come in and out of the Supported Independent Living houses are amazing. I enjoy being with Beyond Potential Supports.

My husband was diagnosed with Younger-onset Alzheimer’s dementia at 62. When I could no longer care for him at home, I knew that the aged care system was not suitable for him due to his younger age and physical strength. Greg is now living in a really nice Supported Independent Living house with three other guys and has a great team of people taking such good care of him. Leigh and his team are friendly, open and honest and we all work together to ensure Greg is living the best life possible. Leigh keeps ahead of the pace and has plans to make the necessary changes as Greg’s disease progresses. For now, Greg is more socially active than ever, and I am very grateful to Leigh and the team at Beyond Potential.

It is my pleasure to recommend Beyond Potential Supports. My son has been in Supported Independent Living for the past 6 months during which time the care and support he has received has been wonderful. The staff are very caring, welcoming and professional which gives us as a family peace of mind to know our son is in such good care. We thank Beyond Potential.
